Samburu Safari

Day 1: in the early morning your safari host will pick you from your hotel and you drive north to Kenya's semi desert lands onto Samburu National Reserve. After 6 hours drive you reach your Lodge or Luxurious Camp inside Samburu for lunch. Afternoon game drives will take you to the Uaso Nyiro River where Nile Crocodiles await in the river to snatch plain animals such as Waterbucks, Zebras, Buffalos and Antelopes. Have dinner and overnight at your Luxurious Camp or Lodge.

Day 2: a full day Samburu excursion in search for Samburu's 'Special 5' starts with game viewing in the early morning hours before breakfast. Samburu's shier wildlife species, Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx and Gerenuk Antelope are typical animals only to be found in this sub-Sahara desert area. Lunch will be ready at your lodge from midday, followed by a rest to escape the searing heat of the sun until 16.00 pm. Afternoon game drives  at 16.00 pm till 18.00 pm before dinner is being served.

Day 3: very early breakfast will be ready at sunset, followed by one more game drive with a good chance to view Lions, Leopards or one of the Special 5 species you may have missed the day before. Continue your journey back to Nairobi, with on-route lunch near Mt. Kenya before arriving back in your Nairobi hotel in the evening.
